Pet.Video Alternatives: 8 AI Pet Video Apps, Compared

The best Pet.Video alternative depends on what you want your pet to do. TalkingPets.ai and AIPet make talking clips, WigglePet animates full-body dances, AIPet and DreamPets make short story films, and Zoomie sells credits with no subscription. We checked 8 apps on November 4, 2026. We make AIPet, so this guide also says where AIPet is the wrong pick.

Three pets, each photo next to the AI video made from it: a tabby cat photo and the cat saying a line, a golden retriever puppy photo and the puppy dancing by a lake, and a shiba photo and the shiba facing a delivery package bigger than itself on a porch

What does Pet.Video do, and why look for an alternative?

Pet.Video is a web app that puts one photo of your pet into a set effect, such as a woolen pet, a giant pet or a K-Pop dance. It lists more than 50 effects and lets you save your pet once for every video. It also has an image-to-video tool where you describe what happens in one line.

Here is what it costs, from its own pricing page on November 4, 2026. New accounts get 30 free credits with no card, which is enough for one 5-second 480p video. The Basic plan costs $9 a month billed yearly, or $108 a year, for 300 credits a month. A 10-second 480p dance video costs 32 to 90 credits, depending on the quality you pick, and subscription credits reset each month.

People usually look for an alternative for one of five reasons:

Each reason points to a different app, so the next section puts the eight side by side.

Which Pet.Video alternatives are worth trying?

Eight apps are worth a look next to Pet.Video, and each one is strongest at a different job. The table lists where each runs, what it makes best, what you get free and the lowest paid price. All facts come from each app's own site or App Store listing on November 4, 2026.

Prices change often, so check the final price on the checkout page before you pay. A credit price also means little until you know what one finished video costs. We work that out for the free plans further down.

Two kinds of tools are not in the table. Photo lip-sync apps such as My Talking Pet and DreamFace move the mouth on a still photo, and we cover them in talking pet apps compared. General AI video tools such as Kling make any scene from a written prompt, and they are in our AI pet video generators comparison. The next question is which of the eight fits the clip in your head.

Which alternative fits the video you want?

Pick by the job, not by the brand. The video you want decides the app, and most apps are strong at one or two jobs.

If two apps fit, the photo test at the end of this guide settles it. Before that, here is how AIPet and Pet.Video differ, since that is the comparison most readers came for.

How does AIPet compare with Pet.Video?

Pet.Video is the better pick for many quick effects at a low monthly price. AIPet is the better pick for stories, talking clips and dances copied from your own clip. The table compares them on the points readers ask about most, from both sites on November 4, 2026.

Where it runsBrowserBrowser

The biggest difference is the format. An effect gives every pet the same short move, which suits a quick trend post. An AIPet story has a start, a turn and an end, with camera moves, sound and music, and each template is test-rendered and checked by a person before it goes live. Some AIPet stories also put you in the scene next to your pet, from one photo of you.

AIPet is the wrong pick in four cases. If you want many quick effects for little money, Pet.Video costs less for a short effect clip. If you want the clip in your own recorded voice, a photo lip-sync app does that and we don't. If you want your pet to sing, TalkingPets.ai and WigglePet offer singing, and our lines are spoken. And if you want an app from the App Store, WigglePet and DreamPets have one, while AIPet runs in the browser.

What do the free plans really include?

Most free plans give you one short, low-resolution or watermarked video. Compare the length, the quality and the watermark, not the word free. Here is what each app gives on November 4, 2026:

The free video tells you about likeness and motion. It does not tell you the real price, because full-length and higher-resolution clips cost more credits. Work out the cost of one finished clip at the length you want before you subscribe.

Phone apps usually bill a weekly or monthly plan through the store, and the plan renews until you cancel it there. Apple explains how to cancel a subscription from Apple, and Google explains how to cancel a subscription on Google Play. Set a reminder the day you start a trial.

How do you test an alternative before you pay?

Use the same photo in every app and compare the results side by side. One sharp photo, one clip per app and four checks show more than any feature list.

  1. Pick one sharp, front-facing photo with the whole face, both ears and the markings in view.
  2. Make the free version in each app you are curious about, with the same photo.
  3. Check the coat and markings first, then the paws and tail in motion, then the sound.
  4. Work out the cost of one finished clip at the length and quality you want to post.

Likeness is where the apps differ most. On October 31, 2026 we ran three same-photo tests between AIPet and another AI pet video app. In one test, a solid grey British Shorthair came back from the other app with a white chest and white paws, and AIPet kept it grey. We don't name that app, because three tests are not a fair verdict on a whole app.

Your own test is the one that counts, because your pet's markings are what you will notice. Our guide to a realistic AI pet video lists the photo rules and the checks we use before a template goes live.

Pet.Video alternatives FAQ

What is the best free Pet.Video alternative?

It depends on what you need from the free video. DreamPets gives 3 creations a day on the web with no watermark, and VisionMorphic refills 40 credits a day. AIPet's free preview can be a full story up to 15 seconds in HD, with a watermark, while the Pet.Video and VisionMorphic free tries are 5 seconds at 480p.

Is there a Pet.Video alternative without a subscription?

Yes. Zoomie sells credits that never expire, agistri sells a one-time pack, and PetAIVideo sells one-time credit packs. AIPet also sells credit packs from $5.99 and single films from $2.99, next to its monthly plans.

Which Pet.Video alternative can make my pet talk?

TalkingPets.ai and AIPet both turn a photo and a typed line into a talking clip. AIPet offers six voice styles and moves the mouth on every word. If you want your own recorded voice, a photo lip-sync app such as My Talking Pet fits better.

Can I use my own dance video?

On AIPet, yes. Pro members upload any dance clip up to 15 seconds, and their dog or cat takes the dancer's place with the same song. Pet.Video and agistri use their own set dance styles instead.

Do these apps work for rabbits or birds?

Some do. WigglePet says any pet works, including goats and horses, and AIPet's animal video generator takes rabbits, parrots, hamsters and horses. Most effect apps are tuned for dogs and cats, so test with your own photo first.
